The original owners of this house dug the dirt and baked the adobe bricks themselves to build their house .This authentic 500 square foot home has not been overly remodeled maintaining the feel of Santa Fe's old world charm. The location could not be better! Quiet and secluded,.the house is only 1 1/2 blocks to Canyon Road the art gallery district and where some of my favorite restaurants are, and 5 blocks to the famed Plaza. 1/2 block to one of Santa Fe's locals favorite book store and coffee shop.This casita is the first of the growing inventory of "Two Casitas," furnished and painted in Mexican style, this spacious studio features brick floors with a gorgeous Russian sumac rug. The house is graced with original paintings by well known local artists such as famed Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander gallery ( Wendy Kapp's mother.) This casita offers a full and separate kitchen and dining area. Private bath with shower only. Warm yourself by the gas burning fireplace, or soak up the sun on the front portal, or porch. Double french doors open up into your large back yard as well. Although this casita is a very private and separate guest house, if you have a larger party, you can also rent this house with "Zia" studio, and the two bedroom "Maraposa" all at the same address in this compound. Amenities include off street parking, pets are welcome with permission of the owner, air conditioned, barbecue, cable TV and free WyFI, shared, yet very private hot tub.
