Located in the exclusive East-side neighborhood two blocks from Canyon Road, the famed arts and crafts historic district. The Art and Soul of Santa Fe; Canyon Road boasts more art galleries per capita then any city other than New York. This light filled adobe home is just around the corner from a quaint tea house/coffee shop and three of my very favorite Santa Fe restaurants! Geronimo`s, El Farol, and The Compound. El Caminto is located 1.2 miles from the Plaza, which is about a 20 minute walk.

El Caminito is a newly renovated, high end, one bedroom, one bath historic adobe with two kiva fireplaces, wood-beamed viga ceilings, wood and tile floors. The furnishings are tasteful and impeccable. Your vacation home has a gourmet kitchen, with granite counter tops, high-end appliances as well as a large dining room table. There is a kiva fireplace in the kitchen as well. A second kiva fireplace makes the queen-size bedroom romantic and something well beyond charming. There is a gorgeous bathroom off of the bedroom with a walk-in shower. Your bedroom has a walk- in closet.

You have a spacious workspace off of the living room in case you have to bring your work with you or just check up on your emails. You will experience from the living room the sounds of birds chirping from your tree house private patio, with table and trees. This home is on a second floor allowing fantastic views. Windows line the living-dining area and let in the magnificent Santa Fe light. Experience the delightful New Mexico air as you open the doors and window. This home is not air-conditioned and most find it very comfortable as is, enjoying the beautiful cross breeze. There is a stereo system and large flat screen TV in the living room. Cottonwood trees grow along the nearby acequia and Santa Fe River, off street parking, dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi. Central Air conditioning and heating

We just returned from our trip to Santa Fe and wanted to write a few words regarding our stay at El Caminito. The interior spaces were very comfortable and well furnished. The art on the walls and pieces on display added to the richness of he space. The abundance of windows allowed for the great Santa Fe light to come in and add to the warmth of the decor. The location was just what we wanted! Close to town but in a neighborhood quit enough to take walks. Definitely would book the same unit again. Robert. May 2016

Our stay at El Caminito was perfectso much more than we could have imagined. Wendy and her team were communicative and helpful, and the checkin and checkout process is a breeze. The casita itself is absolutely darling, cozy, and well appointed. It oozes charm and authentic southwest flair, and its location cant be beata five-minute walk to Canyon Road and a 15-minute walk to the plaza. We truly loved our visit and hope to stay here again the next time we travel to Santa Fe! Thank you, Wendy! Kimberly, Dec. 2015

Dear Two Casitas (and Wendy!) - Once again we found a home in Sante Fe. Its was our second stay at El Camanito and its better than ever! Our first stay there was 4-1/2 years ago and it has remained in our minds ever since. That particular trip was in early July and we loved the home and especially took full advantage of the upper terrace, sleeping with the open windows, and cooking in the amazing kitchen. Ahhh... Fast forward to this past Holiday Season 2015. We arrived at the house with a carpet of snow on the ground. The abundance of windows let in all of the amazing sunlight and the home was very cozy. We especially loved the fireplaces and the huge stack of perfectly-seasoned firewood at the front door - it prompted many a wonderful morning and evening fires in the kiva fireplaces. Once again, the great kitchen allowed us to settle in and cook breakfasts and great dinners. Everything is spotless and new. The walk to Canyon Road is quick... and to the Plaz

We loved the gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and the built in seating next to the windows. The light filled living room with the feeling that we were in the trees was just wonderful. The walk in closet was very nice and the bathroom and shower was great. The casita is very clean and very well located. We walked a couple of blocks to Canyon Road to go shopping and to El Farol for tapas and champagne. Its also a nice walk to the Plaza and other restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Santa Fe.

This casita has a wonderful gourmet kitchen with a built in bench seating beside the windows that was perfect for coffee in the morning. The living room has windows on three sides which gives so much light and you are looking at the trees. There is a wonderful balcony with table and chairs and a desk and chair in a study area. The bedroom has a queen bed with lots of light from four windows, there is a walk in closet and the bathroom has a roomy shower. There are kiva style fireplaces in the kitchen and the bedroom. Beautiful cafe style curtains are everywhere that allow privacy and light to come in from above. Its a decent walk to the plaza, but for us Canyon Road was perfect for shopping and dining and Whole Foods was a short drive. The neighborhood was very quiet, the street is not paved, but it seemed like everyone drove very slowly to keep dust at a minimum. We will definitely stay here again when back in Santa Fe.

El Caminito is just wonderful. The space is cozy, interesting and has everything we needed. The living room is like a little treehouse! The bed was good, updated bath, and a perfect kitchen. We didnt get to use the lovely patio since it rained (highly welcome but unusual). But most of all - the location in the heart of the old eastside historic district is a true SF experience. Quiet and authentic. Be sure to visit the Garcia Bookstore and the coffeeshop - Daily Subscription - which is next door. They are SF institutions. I highly recommend this lodging.

My wife and I loved staying in this casa. As other reviewers have mentioned, we most often picked up meals at Whole Foods and "ate in" with the fire blazing in the kitchen kiva. The unit is very well appointed, warm even in chilly weather and close to everything. My favourite things about the casa: wood beam ceilings, the two kivas (used both), super cozy couch and bed, stainless applianes and the sunlight streaming into the living room. Perfect for one couple.

Beautiful home, immaculately cared for in perfect location for all things Santa Fe. Very quiet and private location three blocks from Geronimo on Canyon Road and 15 to 30 minutes from the Plaza, depending on the number of Gallerys you can not help exploring. Looking forward to staying here for next adventure in New Mexico.

This was my first time staying in a private home in the Santa Fe area. When I first emailed the owner of the property to ask a question about renting it, Wendy called me almost immediately! She is a gracious host and is there to help you have a wonderful stay in beautiful Santa Fe. I was there for the Santa Fe Film Festival and found that this home was so close to all the venues. It is also very close to Canyon Road and the Plaza area. The house is rustic and charming with wood and stone flooring. I loved the TV/Sunroom and enjoyed the setting sun flooding the room every evening. The kitchen is very nicely appointed with beautiful appliances and has everything you will need for your next dinner party! I was doing some work while there and the wireless internet connection was fantastic! Fast and flawless! Wendy sent very thorough instructions and access to the property was a breeze. The neighborhood is exclusive, quiet, and is tucked away in a nice quiet private area.
