Description

Eastside Historic Santa Fe charmer at the base of Atalya Peak! Pitched roof adobe cottage on 1/3 acre in close proximity to Nature Conservancy Land, The Randall Davey Audubon Center, and Santa Fe’s Dale Ball Trail System. Pine plank and flagstone floors, kiva fireplace, tin roof, plaster walls, custom doors, vigas, balcony, views, patio and a flowing acequia compliment this recently updated jewel. Unobstructed canyon views from the outdoor dining area, deck, and hot tub.
Covered outdoor dining area. Very quiet, you may even see deer walking through the property yet you are a short five-minute drive to the nearest restaurants and galleries. Two stories with a darling loft bedroom and second bathroom upstairs. You won’t want to miss this lovely example of classic Northern New Mexico architecture in a second to none setting. Note the internet works fine for email and web browsing but isn't great for streaming. There is also a landline for calling if cell reception isn't good that number is (505) 303-1383.

We liked everything about it! Being able to step out the door and hike with our dog was the main reason we picked the property. The Cerro Gordo trailhead is just down the road a few steps, and once we figured out where it was, we took advantage of that little shortcut to Picacho Peak at the top of the lane. Regarding the property itself, we particularly liked the outdoor space. Didn't use the hot tub, but it looked big and brand new. Temps were only in the 50s, but every evening we sat out on the deck with drinks and snacks and enjoyed the fire pit, view, and complete silence other than the sounds of birds. It's really amazing how peaceful it is up there. Inside the cottage is equally quiet and comfortable, and we felt like we got a true Southwest/Santa Fe architectural experience with the exposed beams and thick walls. The four of us have rented cabins all over North America (Rockies, Smokies, Oregon/California coast, Vermont, Virginias, gulf coast Texas, Lake Superior, Bowen Island, BC), and we all agreed this place was definitely one of the best. Thank you for making it available to rent!!
