Casa Godzilla: Atomic Style in Historic Santa FeUse this fun, modern home as your launchpad for all things Santa Fe! Mosey to the Railyard for Farmers Market and Galleries, stroll to the Plaza for red chile and live music, zoom up to the Santa Fe Opera (10 minute drive), or hit the ski basin in just 35 minutes. When you return from your adventures, enjoy our blue skies from your private backyard (great for pups), try Santa Fe's amazing dining scene or get creative in the fully equipped kitchen.
Architect Laura VanAmburgh designed this contemporary oasis in the heart of Santa Fe’s historic district. Casa Godzilla packs a punch in just under 950 square feet! Leave your vehicles in the two off street parking spots, including one protected by a carport designed by architect Mark Mortier. Walk in the front door into the open plan, single level living space -- kitchen, dining room, and living room -- with high ceilings, beautiful plaster walls, gleaming concrete floors, and yes, Godzilla sightings!
You’ll find the stacked washer/dryer hidden behind the custom paneling in the kitchen, which also has a dishwasher and bar seating. Straight ahead is your private patio and backyard with native New Mexico privets and a fountain made from locally quarried Vista Grande onyx, designed by Santa Fe artist Greg Robertson.
Both bedrooms have queen beds and plenty of storage for your stay. The living room offers Blu Dot’s “One Night Stand” queen-sized sleeper sofa and a 49" smart TV. The home also has a stash of retro board games for you to enjoy when you're not out exploring Santa Fe. Wash up in the green jewel box of a bathroom with custom plaster and a tub-shower combo.
The air conditioning unit in the kitchen cools the entire home, or you can pull in the cool Santa Fe evening air with the Modern Fan Company ceiling fans in every room. Generate a relaxing cross breeze from the back patio to the custom front screen door built by Santa Fe artist Russell Moore, whose carved doors you can see at the Poeh Cultural Center in Pojoaque and in the spa at Hotel Santa Fe.
