"Mariposa has one of the biggest and most beautiful back yards! It’s fully enclosed and private so your owner will not need to be outside with you, and between the gazebo and umbrella covered patio there are lots of places to share together." (please note there is a small place where your dog can go into the adjacent casitas back yard which is enclosed as well but they may not want your doggies in there.)

Hi there Wendy and Will, We absolutely loved this home. The New Mexico style and feeling you put into each room made our stay in Santa Fe feel so much more authentic. The kitchen and bathrooms were super clean and the back yard was a really fun place to BBQ. The coffee and wine were a tremendously thoughtful gesture and we enjoyed both. Thanks so much for sharing your home with our group, we look forward to returning to Santa Fe!
This was a perfect home for eight people to explore Santa Fe from! Incredible location, as you're in a peaceful neighborhood that's a 4min bike ride to the Plaza and local grocery stores. Very thoughtful hosts, as they welcomed us with coffee and wine in the kitchen. The New Mexico decor in all of the rooms was very charming and we even used the little fireplace in one of the bedrooms. Small kitchen and pretty tight living quarters, but giant back yard with two dining areas, BBQ, and hot tub. I'd highly recommend this home to people looking to explore Santa Fe.

Loved staying in this Funky and fun house. Great location. Had everything we needed for our 3 day getaway. The layout was a little bizarre (had to go through someones bedroom to get to the dining room), but overall the house was great! The backyard was also super cute and the hot tub was an extra bonus.

We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the house so much. Hot tub is great! BBQ and fire pit are included and made our family time even more enjoyable. Perfect location for walking anywhere. The distribution of the house may seem a little odd but it works just fine for a family vacation. The house is intimate and warm. Love to be there again soon!

We loved our stay here. Everything about the home is just lovely and we hope to stay here again. The upstairs balcony was perfect for morning coffee. The location is excellent- an easy walk to the plaza and to the farmers market.

They saved our vacation. We booked on Airbnb in July and received a confirmation from Red Awning. I was confused and I guess our booking was messed up....we booked 4 nights and then received an email from Red Awning that it had to be 5 nights and they would cover that additional cost so we agreed. But at the same time Two Casitas called me and told me about the required extra night. But I said it was all taken care of with Red Awning. So all was good until 6 days before our trip! Red Awning cancelled our booking. Fortunately I had kept Two Casitas phone number and called late on Friday night. Wendy answered and helped me right away to book it for less than Red Awning had charged. We are so saved our family vacation!!!

We stayed in the very cozy, beautifully decorated casita during our trip to Santa Fe. The casita was comfortable and had everything you needed - great living room, kitchen and bedroom. We walked to the town square each night, where we had our pick of restaurants and bars. During the day we walked 1/2 a block over to the Canyon Road galleries. Looking forward to my next visit to Santa Fe and this casita.

Perfect size and amenities for a romantic getaway or family vacation. We were traveling with a small baby and the living room was perfect size for a pack and play and the kitchen was perfectly equipped for all of our and our babies needs. The location is phenomenal- we walked everywhere but were just far enough off the square to be out of the hustle and bustle. This house has beautiful furnishing, updated amenities and a super comfy bed! We cannot wait to return!!

Wonderful place right in the heart of historic Santa Fe. 2 minute walk to Canyon Road, and maybe 5 or 6 minute walk to the Plaza. Close to museums, the farmers market, and a ten minute drive from great hiking up near Hyde Park. The house is warm, comfortable and inviting. We really appreciated the kitchen because we like to cook in for a few meals when we're on vacation. A great space to relax.

My family has been traveling to Santa Fe for many years and this was our second time in the Mariposa. Both times we have not been disappointed. The home is clean and comfortable. My grandbabies love the bunk beds. We also appreciate Wendy and her staff checking on us during our stay. See you all again soon! Josey Nov. 2016

Casa Mariposa was a great house for us. The proximity to the plaza could not have been better. Wendy had wine and snacks for us when we checked in. The back yard was very spacious and great for group gatherings. The down side was the drive leading up the house was very muddy with the snow melting, so a large SUV, truck, or 4-wheel drive vehicle would be preferable. Also the main living area is on the side of the house through a bedroom but we did not mind the the layout. One of the rooms is like a private apartment with it's own kitchenette, seating area, and bathroom. Perfect for couples or split family. The beds were very comfortable and the fireplace made it very cozy. We enjoyed our stay here! Kristy, Feb. 2016

The Mariposa/Zia/Paloma were perfect for our family traveling afar for our son 's wedding. This home was beautiful, tranquil and very convenient. Wendy and her staff (Germaine) we're so helpful and accommodating for such a large party. The back yard was great and relaxing. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and use the Zia or Paloma for me and my husband, the stay would be just as perfect. It was just a short walk to the Plaza. Thank you for making this a wonderful trip.

Over the years my wife and I have rented several houses in Santa Fe through Two Casitas and have always had a great experience. And the Mariposa is the best one on the East side. It is a very authentic Santa Fe experience on the Historic East side of Santa Fe. The adobe walls, vigas, and layout make for a very relaxing space. The house was very clean and the rooms are so comfortable. Immediately, it feels like you live there. Everything we needed was provide in the kitchen and bathrooms. The location is fantastic because you can walk to the Plaza or Canyon Road in only a few minutes. I like to walk up Acequia Madre Street to the Teahouse for a cup of coffee in the morning. The owner Wendy Kapp is so lovely, generous and helpful. She made sure we were happy and made sure we knew that if anything was not right that she wanted to know about it. I highly recommend staying here.

There is NO WAY to describe how much we loved our stay at the Mariposa House and Zia Casita! We were married in Santa Fe and rented out the entire house (our friends had the Paloma Casita) and it was EXACTLY what we needed for our needs. It was gorgeous, comfortable, quiet, within walking distance to everything, and we could all be together and relax. And the back yard was PERFECT for our small reception after the wedding! Its beautiful back there and so peaceful. We also loved the hot tub and took full advantage the second night to relax and enjoy with our wonderful friends and family. The home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need and theres room to spread out as well. We loved where we were located because we had other friends and family staying in the area and they could just walk to where we were and enjoy the surroundings. Wendy was so incredibly kind and went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect and we cannot thank her enough.

The location is the best in Santa Fe. Walking distance to the best galleries and museums. The house is very clean, cozy, comfortable, with surprised quiet corners. The garden will be abundant of flowers in spring. Besides a small kitchen, I love every room in this house. The studio connected to the house is a plus.

I stayed at Mariposa and Zia Combined for a 4-day weekend in mid-April with 3 friends. It was perfect for us, with a bed for everyone (in separate rooms, though one was a fold-out couch) and 3 bathrooms. The layout is quirky, which I liked, and it has a very authentic/historic feel. It was very clean and welcoming. We didn't cook there (all we did was make tea and open a bottle of wine), so I can't review the kitchen setup. A 10-minute brisk walk to the Plaza (right past Canyon Road) -- no problem for a bunch of healthy 40-somethings -- and we only used our car when we left town to explore. Plus, you pass a chocolate shop on the way there & back! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing,
